Florida Polytechnic University: Excelerate Event 2018
Posted on Aug 22, 2018 | Live Events
MABE was recently hired to provide Audio and Video solutions for Florida Polytechnic’s Excelerate Event. The building’s unique architecture had presented many challenges during previous events, but MABE was willing to rise to the challenge. As a leading institution of change, spurring progress, science, and technology, The Audio/Visual had to be nothing short of stellar and impactful.

The architectural challenges included the uniquely shaped glass ceiling and stone floors throughout the room. MABE’s Lead Engineer Richard Vaughn deployed the Meyer CAL Series to provide perfect coverage throughout the building’s unique space. The digital steerability of the CAL Series allowed the audio to be steered to the seating area with great accuracy ensuring every word could be heard during the presentation.

On the video front, MABE’s Operations Manager Greg Hannah decided on Panasonic’s PT-RZ31KU 30,000 Lumen Laser Projector as the projector of choice to handle both the 30-foot ultra-widescreen and 20-foot outboard screens. Video switching and blend management was handled by a Barco E2 4K Management system. MABE brought innovative technology that was crucial for this event.
