Project Overview: MABE was tasked with transforming the former Salvation Army Community Worship Center into a high-performance worship sanctuary and youth center for Access Ministries. The gym-turned-sanctuary presented acoustical and architectural challenges, which were addressed with a thoughtful, tailored AVL solution.

System Highlights:

• Audio: Existing Danley SM80 speakers and TH115 subs powered by Ashly KLR amplifiers; Allen & Heath SQ-7 digital mixing console; a combination of Shure wireless handheld mics and IEMs, with hardwired systems for musicians; 70v distributed speaker zones for lobby, restrooms, and green room.
• Video: 2.9mm DVS LED video wall with Novastar processor; Blackmagic ATEM switcher for centralized control; Apple Mac Studio for ProPresenter7; distributed Samsung displays in lobby and support rooms.
• Lighting: Chauvet and Elation fixtures used for stage wash and backlighting; scene station wall controls; haze effects for atmosphere; pendant house lighting integrated via DMX and controlled from the lighting system.
• Control: Q-Sys core for centralized AV management; touch panels in sanctuary and lobby; wireless Clear-Com system integrated with South Lakeland broadcast suite.

Acoustic Treatment: To tame the reverb-heavy gymnasium, MABE installed staggered acoustic panels from Primacoustics, strategically hung from the ceiling to maximize speech intelligibility and achieve a balanced audio response.

Results: With MABE’s strategic AVL integration, Access Ministries successfully created a true extension of their South Lakeland campus in North Lakeland. Every system was chosen and configured to mirror the broadcast standards and worship environment of the main campus. The seamless connectivity and centralized control allowed North Lakeland to receive live content while maintaining a local, on-site production feel. MABE’s collaborative approach ensured that the finished space supports both ministry and media, thereby enhancing the worship experience for all attendees.
